The Brooklyn Phase

We acted like tourists today, taking a sailboat cruise that went down to the Statue of Liberty. It was great being out on the water. The heat wasn't nearly as bad on the water and there was a nice amount of wind both keeping us cool and keeping the boat moving. The boat was fairly small, there were only about 30 people on the boat, and the trip lasted about two hours. They had a selection of drinks, although unfortunately the only choice for beer was Bud Light and Budweisers.

Afterwards we went to Chelsea Market where we discovered there is now a Ronnybrook Milk Bar. Ronnybrook is my favorite dairy. We buy their milk and ice cream every week from the farmers market. The milk come in thick solid milk jars that are returned each week, well thats when we remember to return them. The milk bar sold all of milks, and ice creams, and multiple combinations of milk shake type drinks. They also had lunch and breakfast foods using their soft cheeses and local ingredients. The interior design was some of the smartest interior design I've seen in a while. It was hard to get any pictures though- just because it was so crowded. The walls were covered in milk crates, some of which came out to create more seating. The glasses were made from the milk jars, filled with milk so fresh there was a layer of milk fat on top.
