We left last night for our trip to Amsterdam and Paris. Flying British Airways, we departed at 7:30. The first part of the flight flew by thanks to dinner service and self selected move. Considering most airlines keep cutting their food choices and availability it was great to get a nice free meal from British Airways. I had gone online and set our food preferences a couple of weeks back. For me- vegetarian-lacto, for Adrien- Asian vegetarian.

I didn’t get much sleep for the rest of the slight- just 3 hours after we finished our movie they were turning on the lights for continental breakfast, which consisted of a muffin, orange juice, and yogurt. We aren’t looking too groggy in this pictures taken on the short flight from London to Amsterdam.

We met up with our friend Hart who is joining us for the Amsterdam portion of the trip. He has been working in London for the summer and is excited for a vacation. Unfortunately the weather is not on our side so it rains off and on. In a sleep deprived state we check into our hotel (the same one I stayed at last time), took a canal tour, wandered about the city, and ate at a cute little Italian restaurant. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow, so that I can take more/ better pictures of the city.
