We got up early and went to a café nearby for breakfast, net Karbeel. I had a pancake with strawberries, Hart had a pancake with apples, and Adrien ate a hudge cheese and bacon sandwich. Shopping came next, with me buying lots of cute clothes at my favorite shop (Exota) in Amsterdam while Adrien and Hart wandered around. We also got a book of recently designed/ built architecture in Amsterdam from a bookshop specializing in architecture in the 9 streets shopping district.
In the afternoon we rented bikes and trekked all around the city. We first biked to a new development on three islands filled amazing new condos and apartments, and offices.

Here is Adrien emerging after exploring a little overgrown green space that lay between the island and the water.

After exploring the islands of new development we biked 5 or so miles out to the southeastern part of town to track down a cemetery building we saw in our book of architecture. We got a bit lost on the way there, and even more lost on the way back, but we were glad to have gone so far from the tourist filled center of the city. When we were asking for direction on the way back people were continually surprised and kept telling us how far we were from the center of town.
Here is the building we went and saw in the cemetery. It is an amazing building to store urns of ashes and memorabilia.

We were tired by the time we got back to the hotel so we ate at a touristy place near our hotel. Here we are looking like the tourists we are.
