The Brooklyn Phase

8.8.08

Today we were pretty exhausted, so we didn’t do a whole lot. Breakfast was a couple of crepes. We then wandered up to the Centre Pompidou, a contemporary art museum known for its groundbreaking architecture. We wandered around the building taking pictures, and I checked out a wonderful children’s gallery.

We kept wandering around the city seeing lot of architecture both old and new. Here are a few of the newer buildings near the Pompidou.

We spend the afternoon napping. We had a late lunch at a café near where we are staying and then got some snacks at an amazing little cheese shop.

In the evening we met up with Ben, who had been out of the city when we got into town. We went and got a late dinner when Ben, and went and saw the apartment he has been living in for the summer. It’s a great studio, in a building filled with artists, musicians, and designers in the heart of the city.
